Raymond Willis Ring, 83, beloved husband, father, "Papaw" and friend, went to be with the Lord on May 30, 2025. Willis a resident of Big Stone Gap, Virginia and member of the East Stone Baptist Church, left a lasting legacy, as President of Reedy Coal Company, R&R Mining, and Ring Enterprises where he was proud to be afforded the opportunity to help, "Raise a lot of families", in Southwest Virginia and Eastern Kentucky. Willis loved all things University of Tennessee (Go Vols), he loved attending all of his grandchildren's activities & special occasions, spending time with his family and friends, and especially working in his yard with his dog, "Payton" in tow.

Willis was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph & Nell Ring, brothers, RJ Ring and Ralph (Cooboy) Ring, and his sister, Betty Ring.

He is survived by his wife, Pat, son, Willis (Leandra) Ring, daughter, Heather Bentley, and grandchildren, Layla and Cameron Ring, and a host of relatives and friends.

Willis Ring was loved by so many and will be greatly missed.

The family will receive friends Sunday, June 1, 2025, 3 P.M. to 6 P.M. at the Sturgill Funeral Home 310 6th Street NW Coeburn, Va. Funeral Service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Lonnie Brooks officiating. Graveside Services will be conducted 11 A.M. Monday, June 2, 2025, in the Greenwood Acres Cemetery Coeburn, Va. The family and friends will meet at the funeral home at 10:15 A.M. Monday to go in procession to the cemetery.
