NORTON, VA.                            JANUARY 29, 2024

Willie D. Moore, 74, passed away Friday, January 26, 2024 at the Lonesome Pine Hospital in Big Stone Gap, VA.

He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and was a retired long haul truck driver.

He was preceded in death by his wives, Mildred Moore and Sheila Moore; son, Ricky Moore; daughter, Misty Moore; his parents, L.D. and Georgia Moore; brothers, Jerry Moore, Wayne Moore, David Moore, Archie Moore, Johnny Moore, and Musco Moore; and sisters, Mary Hankins and Georgia Ann Moore.

Surviving are a son, Bobby Moore and wife Robin; daughters, Deborah Zacchini and husband Patrick, Christy Joseph, Nancy Willis, Patty Lambert, Janice Moore, and Jamie Buchannan; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Loretta and Coetta; brother, William J. Moore; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Willie D. Moore will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, February 1, 2024 at the Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel in Wise, VA with Ricky Branham officiating. Burial will follow in the Laurel Grove Cemetery in Norton, VA. Family will receive friends from 12:30 P.M. till time of services at 2:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
