William
Strange
d. Feb 11, 2026
WISE, VA. FEBRUARY 14, 2026
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of William Charles Strange, a man who loved God and would do anything for his family. William went to heaven on Wednesday, February 11, 2026.
Through his 63 years, he touched many lives with his faith, love, humility and perseverance.
William loved and served the Lord well. He was a member and usher at Zion Family Ministries. He often helped with church projects, and loved reading his Bible. One of his favorite scriptures was Isaiah 43:1 "...Do not fear, for I have redeemed you. I have called you by name; you are Mine!"
William was a devoted husband and father and loved taking care of his family. He was the one everyone called when something wasn't working, and it was his joy to fix things. He spent most of his career on the night shift at Humphrey's, where he worked exceptionally hard to provide for his family. He would often sacrifice sleep to spend time with his kids before school. His fondest memories were the times he spent camping at the beach with his wife Jennifer, and his children, Whitney, Lauren and Cassidy. In his last years, he was an amazing "BDAD" to his granddaughter Isabella. He would endure the pain in his body to play with his "Baby Doll" and make her days special.
William's legacy of faith, devotion, humility, and perseverance will be carried forward by those who had the privilege of knowing him. His exceptional life will always be an inspiration to love and serve well. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered with joy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus & Virgie Strange, and his brother Rufus Jr.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Jennifer. His children, Whitney Colyer and husband Seth, Lauren Austin and husband Nick, and Cassidy Strange. His granddaughter Isabella. His siblings, Cecil Strange and wife Betty, Linda Campbell, and Wanda Willis and husband Ikey.
We extend our heartfelt sympathies to the family and all who mourn for William.
