William "Berkley" Boggs, 103, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 3, 2023.

Berkley was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a WWII Veteran, retired United Mine Worker and an avid Atlanta Braves fan. He was a loyal fan of his grandchildren's music, Austin Boggs (great-grandson) and Regan Boggs (granddaughter).

He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Brummitt Boggs; son, Terry Boggs; daughter, Sandra Boggs; grandson, Shane Boggs; great-grandson, Landon Boggs; great-granddaughter, Grace Ann Still; his parents, Jarvis and Viola Boggs; brothers, Cossie Boggs, Forrester Boggs, Fletcher Boggs, Dallas Boggs and Veldon Boggs and sister, Dossie Boggs Hollenbeck Short.

Surviving are his son, Larry (June) Boggs; grandchildren, Roland (Becky) Boggs, Amanda Nilene Boggs, Carol (Scott) Marshall, Tonda (David) Still, Reagan Boggs, Wesley Boggs and Dana Tompkins Mullins; ten great-grandchildren; ten great-great grandchildren; one great-great-great grandchild; sister, Janice Hamilton; a multitude of nieces and nephews.

In his 103 years, he was blessed to be surrounded by a host of friends and family. He was truly a blessing to us all and we will be greatly missed.

Funeral services for Berkley Boggs will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, January 6, 2023 at the Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel in Wise, VA with the Elder Stacy Potter officiating. Burial will follow in the Addington Cemetery Scott Roberson Hollow in Wise, VA. The family will receive friends from 12:30 P.M. till time of services at 2:00 P.M. Friday, January 6, 2023 at the Sturgill Funeral Home in Wise, VA.
