In Loving Memory of Willard Edward Mitchell, 87, who went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 30, 2021.

He was a U.S Air Force Veteran and a retired carpenter.

Willard was preceded in death by his parents, David Columbus Mitchell and Venia Kilgore Mitchell; five brothers, Eugene Mitchell, Charles J. Mitchell, Clark E. Mitchell, David C. Mitchell Jr. and Columbus Mitchell; and three sisters, Minnie Wells, Lina Matthews and Dorothy Wells.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife, Rose Marie Mitchell; children, Venia Renae Mitchell, Willard Edward Mitchell Jr. and Amanda Kay Mitchell; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Leoda Webb; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services with Military Rites for Willard Mitchell will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at the Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel in Wise, VA with Pastor Jeff Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow in the Wise Cemetery. The Family will receive friends from 12:30 P.M. till time of services at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at the Sturgill Funeral Home in Wise, VA.
