NORTON, VA.                               OCTOBER 9, 2024

Wanda Adams, 68, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 after a month long battle with cancer.

Wanda was the best mother and grandmother to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will dearly miss her.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Paul Victor Hubbard and Georgia Sturgill; spouse, Larry Adams Sr.; stepson, Larry Adams Jr.; sister, Patricia Gentry and a brother James Hubbard.

Left to cherish her memories are three loving daughters, Misty Mullins of Norton, Va, Melanie Adams of Big Stone Gap, VA and Kimberly Adams of Wise, Va; stepdaughter, Beth Jessee; grandchildren, Zachary Mullins (Sarah Mullins), Ryan Mullins, Bryce Walker, Preston Walker, Hailey Walker, Brooklyn Walker, Kaitlyn Adams, Hannah Hollyfield (Tevin), Jordan Adams and Brittany Carter (Scott); great-grandchildren, Jackson Mullins, Jacob Mullins, Josiah Walker, Abigail Adams, Ian Dominguez, Greyson Adams, Emma Dominguez, Mia Triplett, Cheyenne Adams, Chloe Adams, Cameron Carter, Braydon Carter and Gracie Carter; sisters, Marlene Arwood, Gloria Billings, Rhonda Adams, Leslie Sturgill and Debbie Addington; brother, Roy Hubbard who never left her side the whole time she was in the hospital and for that we are very appreciative. Tim Mullins of Pound who was a big part of the Adams family for many years, Tim never hesitated to help out when ask or when he knew it was needed and a host of many other relatives and friends. She cherished all of her family but nothing compared to the love she gave all of her grandchildren. Anytime you seen her she had at least two or three of her babies with her.

Funeral services for Wanda Adams will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 11, 2024 at the Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel in Wise, VA with Pastor Jimmy Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in the Smith-Gilliam Cemetery Wise, VA. The family will receive friends from 12:30 P.M. till time of services at 1:00 P.M. Friday at the Sturgill Funeral Home in Wise, VA.

Pallbearers will be, Zachary Mullins, Ryan Mullins, Preston Walker, Bryce Walker, Tevin Hollyfield and Tim Mullins. In Lieu of flowers the family is asking memorial contributions be made to Sturgill Funeral Home P.O. Box 1068 Wise, VA 24293 or by calling 276-679-0048 to pay by Credit Card.
