Vonda Slemp, 88, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at the Heritage Hall Health Care in Clintwood, VA.

She was of the Baptist faith and was a retired employee from the Wise Appalachia Regional Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William D. (Bill) Slemp; her parents, Elbert and Eva Dale Gilliam; two grandchildren, Brandon Phelps and Megan Phelps and her siblings, Truman Gilliam, Helen Mullins, Clint Richardson, Albert Richardson and Effie Vest.

Surviving are her son, Scott Slemp and wife Cindy; two daughters, Diane Salyer and Cheryl Kilgore and husband Rod; three grandchildren, Landon Slemp, Mendi Phelps and Wrynn Dingus; three great-grandchildren; special care givers, Chigger and Susie Mullins and a host of other relatives and friends.
