In loving memory of Tina Sue Mays Rhoton, 47, passed away Sunday, September 18, 2022 at Heritage Hall nursing home in Big Stone Gap, VA.

Tina battled cancer for the last 7 months. She put up a courageous battle and fought until the end.

She is preceded in death by uncles, Gary Absher, Lewis Absher and Wayne Absher; aunts, Gladys Cantrell, Mary Lawson, Shelby Moore, Faye Mock and Dianne Mays.

Surviving are her loving fiancé, Teddy Christian; 3 children, Joseph Sargent, Jr (Deanna) of Norton, VA, Tiffany Sargent of Kingsport, TN and Rebecca Baker (Kenneth) of Big Stone Gap, VA; her 3 most precious gifts her grandchildren, Morgan Wells, Madison Wells and Kasey Baker; her mother, Nancy Mays of Big Stone Gap, VA; her father, Teddy Mays of Norton, VA her 3 sisters Glenda Mays of Big Stone Gap, VA, Tammy Dutton of Big Stone Gap and Linda Mays of Norton, VA; a lifelong friend, Debbie Hamilton; a very close friend, Grace Shonts; a host of nieces and nephews and other family and friends that will all mourn the loss of such a precious soul.

Tina's wish was to be cremated. Once the cremation takes place a service will be held at a later date at the Sargent family cemetery on Powell River in Norton VA.
