Tia Marie Shaver passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday, June 23, 2026.

Tia was born and raised in Wise, Virgina, but spent the last 35 years living in Charlotte, North Carolina. She worked in the medical field as an office manager. She enjoyed music, reading, and spending time with family and friends. She loved Wizard of Oz as much as anyone could.  She was a beautiful, generous, and friendly woman that was easy to get along with and she will be missed by many.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Todd Covell.

She is survived by her son, Nicholas Shaver and his wife Erica Shaver; her mother, Greta Covell; her niece, Cadence Covell; and the friends she made along the way.

Graveside committal services and burial will be held at 3:00 P.M. Friday, June 26, 2026 in the Wise Cemetery with Pastor Roger Barker officiating. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery for services.
