Terry Lynn Dingus, 69, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 28, 2026 surrounded by his family. Terry had fought a hard battle with cancer and the long-term side effects from it. He was a 1976 graduate of Pound High School. Terry was a heavy equipment operator for most of his career and worked at several coal companies before eventually retiring at Alpha Natural Resources.

Terry loved riding his motorcycles, working on small engines, and spending time with his family and grandchildren. He was known to be a hard worker and would help with any project.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Mary Ann Dingus; brothers – David Dingus, Ricky Dingus Sr., and Randy Dingus; niece – Bethany Mullins Hamilton; nephews – Ricky Dingus, Jr. and Kevin Charles Mullins.

Terry is survived by his children, Matthew Dingus and wife,Wrynn; Joshua Dingus and wife, Ashley; Johanna Meade and husband, Barry; Brittany Marshall and husband, Nick; his seven grandchildren – Adele Dingus, Ivy Dingus, Isabella Dingus, Isaac Dingus, Judson Meade, Alyssa Marshall, and Aniston Marshall; his former wife and mother of his children – Leda Dingus; his sisters – Elizabeth (Liz) Mullins and husband, Larry; Judy Ring and husband, Jesse. He is also survived by his nieces, Tammy Tompkins Stanley and Keisha Dingus Greear and nephew, Joel Dingus.

The family would like to thank all the friends and neighbors, especially Les Hamilton, for checking on Terry and helping with his care.

Burial will be at the Stapleton-Hubbard Cemetery.
