NORTON, VA.               SEPTEMBER 30, 2023

Teresa Robin Thierry, 64, was called into the kingdom of Heaven by our Lord and gained her angel wings on Thursday, September 28, 2023.

Teresa was a Christian and developed a firm belief in God. She worked diligently to share God's message of love with others through her kindness and thoughtful actions to all she met. She always enjoyed being employed in fields of caring for others as a CNA, then a phlebotomist and a cardiac tech at Roanoke Memorial.

Her life began in Richlands, Va. when she was one of seven children born to Jessie and Ruth Elswick, her parents; two brothers, Timothy and Ray Elswick and a sister Glenna Rose have preceded her in death. Rejoicing with her in heaven are also the father of her children, Danny Harris and her ex-spouse, Roy Thierry, whom she cared for until his death.

Teresa will be missed by her children, Jessica Wheatley and husband Michael; son, Gabe Harris; siblings, Shirley, Patricia, Wayne and Mark; grandchildren, Tori Peace and husband Trey, Andrew Wheatley, Alex Wheatley and Sterling Harris. She was excited about the upcoming birth of her first great child, baby boy Peace. She has a host of nieces, nephews and special friends she leaves behind.

Funeral services for Teresa Thierry will be conducted at 6:00 P.M. Sunday, October 1, 2023 at the Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel in Wise, VA with Michael Samerdyke officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. till time of services at 6:00 P.M. on Sunday at Sturgill Funeral Home in Wise.
