Teddy Wayne Dean of Wise, VA, 76, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at the home of his daughter in Bristol, TN.

Teddy was a mechanic and welder for 29 years at a local coal company and retired in 2001.  He was a loving husband, father and grandfather to his wife of 57 years, Patricia, his four children; Chris, Patrick, Preston and Jennifer and his many grandchildren.  He enjoyed fishing and photography and loved the outdoors.  After he retired, he taught himself to paint and blessed his family and friends with many beautiful paintings.

He is survived by his wife Patricia Dean; four children, Christopher Dean of Wise, Patrick Dean of Wise, Preston Dean of Duffield and Jennifer Dean Sproles and husband Michael of Bristol TN; one brother, Elgin Dean Jr. and wife Phyllis of Denver, NC; six grandchildren and several great- grandchildren; special friends, Tommy and Janice Flowers of Viera, FL and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral Services for Teddy Wayne Dean will be conducted at 11:00 A.M Saturday, November 27, 2021 at the Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel in Wise VA with Pastor John McCarroll officiating. Burial will follow in the Laurel Grove Cemetery in Norton VA. Family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. till 7:00 P.M. Friday, November 26, 2021 at the Sturgill Funeral Home in Wise VA.
