Sue Brooks Clark, 73, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, May 15, 2021 after a long illness.

Sue was a loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother.

She was a member of Mt. Olive Freewill Baptist Church in Wise, Virginia. Before her illness, Sue could always be found working at the church. She loved to cook and bake for her family and friends. She always had a smile on her face despite her circumstances.

Sue is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Bea Brooks; infant brother, Robert F. Brooks; and infant sister, Linda M. Brooks.

Surviving are her husband, John Clark; sons, Jason Stidham, Daniel Stidham and wife Sarah of Wise, VA, Ricky Clark and girlfriend, Sheila of Raleigh, NC, and John Clark and fiancé Ashley of Wise, VA; daughter, Delana Clark of Huntsville, AL; grandsons, Greyson Stidham (whom she raised) stationed in Germany, Cash Stidham, Sawyer Stidham of Wise, Austin Clark (whom she partially raised) and fiancé Christina and daughter Madison of Myrtle Beach, SC, Lucas Clark and Gunner Tucker of Norton, VA; granddaughters, Holly Grace Stidham of Wise, Samantha, Octavia and Aria Clark, Brittany Stratton and fiancé Kelly Vanover, and Megan Beverly of Norton. VA; great-granddaughters, Haleigh and Avery Ferguson of Norton, VA; brothers-in-law, Eddie Clark and wife Helen of Wise, and Lee Clark and wife Michell of Gate City, VA; sisters-in-law, Susie Roberts and husband Randy of Norton, and Rhenea Niece and husband Steve of Wise; special cousin, Joan Tench and husband Ronnie of Demorset, GA; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Special thanks to In-Home Health Care, Norton Community Hospital doctors and nurses, Bridget at the Wound Care Center, Mt. Olive Church for the food and prayers, and to all others for the food and prayers. Also, special thanks to Dr. Wilson for his care and concern. Funeral services for Sue Clark will be held at 4:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at the Mt. Olive Freewill Baptist Church, 9614 Coeburn Mountain Road, Wise, VA 24293 with Rev. Tommy McAmis and Pastor T.J. McAmis officiating. Burial will follow in the Brooks Family Cemetery in Wise, VA. Family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. till time of services at 4:00 P.M.
