NORTON, VA.                                    DECEMBER 5, 2022

Shirley "Jean" Stallard, 80, of Guest River, passed away Saturday, December 3, 2022, at home with her Loving children at her bedside.

Jean was the last of a large family of ten brothers and sisters. Her late parents of Keokee, VA are Bob and Nancy Quesenberry. Jean was born in 1942 in a mountain timber community of Keokee called Johnson's Mill. She was very proud of her mountain heritage and her family and loved to tell stories of her life and times she had growing up in Lee Co. VA.

Jean was a very meticulous home maker. Her home was always clean and beautiful.

She was famous in the family for her delicious cobblers and homemade candy. Jean also loved to make beautiful quilts and would give them as gifts to her friends and loved ones.

Jean was a Christian and loved Bible Study under Pastor Mike Hunsucker. She loved to listen to gospel music and watch her favorite shows, Gunsmoke and Perry Mason.

Jean is the widow of Creed Elmo Stallard.

She leaves behind three children and only grandchild to cherish her memory, Billie Jean Fleming and husband Mike of Pound, VA, Angela Short and husband Bobby of Wise, VA and James Stallard of Norton, VA; The light of her life, grandson, Shane "Matthew" Fleming of Pound, VA.

Graveside services for Shirley "Jean" Stallard will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday. December 7, 2022 at the Powell Valley Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel with Pastor Mike Hunsucker officiating.
