NORTON, VA.                             DECEMBER 11, 2023

Shirley Belcher, 89, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, December 10, 2023 with her loving family by her side.

She was of the Christian faith.

She was preceded in death by a son, Charles Alvin Belcher, Jr. (Chuck); two grandsons, Douglas Todd Jacobs and Shaunn Stapleton; great-grandson, Zachary Dale Stapleton; her parents, David Ray and Olive Thursa Hubbard McCarthy; two brothers, Garland McArthy and Benny McArthy.

Surviving are her children, David Belcher and wife Debbie of Norton, VA, Danny Belcher of NC, Trish Ingle of Norton, VA, Susan Hawk and husband Chris of Fredricksburg, VA, Ann Stapleton and husband Ernie of Norton, VA, Sharon (YoYo) Belcher of Wise, VA and Debbie Jacobs and husband Bronco of Arizona; several grandchildren; nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Shirley Belcher will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 in the Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Gary Maggard officiating. Burial will follow at the Laurel Grove Cemetery in Norton, VA. The family will receive friends from 11:30 A.M. till time of services on Wednesday at Sturgill Funeral Home Wise, VA.
