NORTON, VA.                                   FEBRUARY 3, 2025

Shelia M. Sturgill, 82, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 2, 2025 at the Johnson City Medical Center in Johnson City, TN.

She was a member of Trinity Life Center in Coeburn, VA for many years. She loved church, serving the Lord, Music and playing the piano, organ and accordion.

Sheila was a former employee of the Health Department before she dedicated her life to taking care of her father until his death and then became office manager at Sturgill Funeral Home in Wise, VA. where she retired from.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow Wilson and Alice Brooks Sturgill; and two brothers, Bob Sturgill and Buford G. Sturgill.

Surviving are her sister, Carolyn Henson and husband Charles; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Sturgill; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews; special friends, Mary Livingston, Carolyn Artrip, Sue Adams, Barbara Taylor and Jennifer Hibbitts; the staff, workers, friends and neighbors at the High Rise as well as many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Sheila Sturgill will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at the Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel in Wise, VA with Rev. John McCarroll officiating. Burial will follow in the Powell Valley Memorial Gardens Big Stone Gap, VA. The Family will receive friends from 12 noon till time of services at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Sturgill Funeral Home in Wise, VA.
