Sheila Dianne Dorton, 71, passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at the Heritage Hall Health Care in Wise, VA.

She was of the Christian Faith.

She was an avid Jeff Gordon fan and loved all her animals especially Puddin that she leaves behind. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Guy Reynolds; her husband, Rocky Dorton; her brother, Wayne Wright; and her sister, Terri Kelly.

Surviving are her two sons, Timothy Vanover and Tony Vanover; granddaughter, Astrid Vanover; her mother, Lorraine Wright; two brothers, Michael Reynolds and wife Ingrid and Dale Wright and wife Phyllis; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Sheila Dorton will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, October 3, 2024 at the Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel in Wise, VA with Rev. Randy Carter officiating. Burial will follow in the Dewey Memorial Cemetery in Pound, VA. Family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. till 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at the Sturgill Funeral Home in Wise, VA.
