Ruby June Lovell Reeves, 72, passed away Sunday, June 22, 2025 at her home in the company of her loving husband of almost 49 years.

June was an avid gardener and she loved drawing, painting and taking motorcycle trips with her husband and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruby and Woodrow Lovell; sisters, Dorothy "Dot" Logan, Marie Miller, Shirley Wells, Barbara Lovell and Angela Lovell; her brothers, Woodrow "Woody" Lovell and Robin "Penny" Lovell; several nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

She is survived and sorely missed by her husband, Hubert "Julio" Reeves; her daughter, Crystal Reeves and son-in-law, Thomas Thacker; 3 grandchildren, Avery Reeves, Charlotte Reeves-Thacker and Bianca Reeves-Thacker; her sister Frances "Susie" Payne; several nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

Funeral services for June Reeves will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. Thursday, June 26, 2025 at the Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel in Wise, VA with John Reeves officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:30 P.M. till time of services at 7:00 P.M. Thursday at the Sturgill Funeral Home in Wise, VA. Graveside services for June Reeves will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, June 27, 2025 at the Reeves Family Cemetery. Burial will follow. Family and friends will meet at 10:30 A.M. Friday at the funeral home to go to the cemetery in procession.
