NORTON, VA.                                         APRIL 18, 2023

Ruby Pearl Freeman, 76, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, April, 17, 2023.

She was of the Pentecostal faith and lived her life full of love and kindness.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Frankie Freeman; parents, Charlie and Gertrude Maggard and son, Jackie "JJ" Calhoun, Jr.

Surviving are her daughter, Charlene Moore; grandchildren, Stephen and Nikki Moore; Daniel Robert Moore, Paige Moore and Joy Makayla Moore; great-grandchildren, Benjamin Moore and Kadence Roberts and great-grandpup, Marley Moore.

Funeral services for Ruby Freeman will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. Thursday, April 20, 2023 at the Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel Wise, VA with Pastor Ricky Oakes officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. till time of services at 7:00 P.M. at the Sturgill Funeral Home in Wise, VA. Graveside committal services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, April 21, 2023 at the Laurel Grove Cemetery, Norton, VA. Burial will follow. Family and friends will meet at 10:30 A.M. on Friday at the funeral home to go to the cemetery in procession.
