Ronald Lee Hager, 84, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 29, 2022.

He was born in Frostburg MD, the eldest of three sons. Early in his life his incredible musical ability began to reveal itself. In his early teens he gave his life to Christ in a service where David Wilkerson was preaching. He was on the road in ministry by the age of 16. He attended Zion Bible College in Providence, Rhodesia Island and spent the next 68 years preaching the gospel. With his faithful life companion by his side he worked in pastoral ministry in five states and more than twenty three churches. Together they founded Zion Family Ministries in Wise, VA. He was an ordained Assembly of God minister for more than sixty years. Through preaching, singing, praying, directing choirs and pageants, he left an indelible mark on thousands of lives for the Kingdom of God and for Jesus whom he loved so dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald & Lola (Unger) Hager of Frostburg, MD and a brother, Gerald Dale Hager of Roxboro, NC.

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 yrs, Sadie Jane (Beckner) Hager; Sons, Tim & Donna (White) Hager of Abingdon, VA and Wayne & Sharon (Clarkston) Hager of Wise, VA; Grandchildren, Haley (Hager) Spurlock & husband Luke. Trevor Hager and wife Tayler, Keaton Hager & wife Christiana; Great-Grandchildren, Finely, Azariah, Ollie, Ezlynn, Maverick and Millie; Brother, Gene & Jeanne Hager and a host of friends and a huge church family.

Funeral services for Ronald Lee Hager will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. Monday, August 1, 2022 at the Zion Family Ministries 1613 Norton RD Wise, VA 24293 with Pastor Wayne Hager and Pastor Tim Hager officiating. The Family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. till time of Services at 7:00 P.M. Monday at the Church. On Tuesday, August 2, 2022 the family will receive friends from 11:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. at the Grapefield Church of God 3120 Grapefield RD Bastian, VA  24314 where services will be held with Pastor David Wall officiating. Burial will follow in the Neal Cemetery Grapefield Rd Bastian, Va. 24314.In Lieu of flowers the family ask that memorial contributions be made to Grapefield Church of God 3120 Grapeville Road Bastian, VA 24314.
