Rocky Steven
Hall
d. Sep 13, 2025
Coeburn, Virginia September 15, 2025
Rocky S. Hall, Age 70, of Coeburn, VA passed away Saturday, September 13, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Rocky loved his hometown of Coeburn where he had many great friends. He loved nothing more than having a good coon dog and telling each of his friends about his hunts the day after. His idea of happiness was spending time with his dad and best friend, Vic Hall. Rocky enjoyed deer hunting, coon hunting and anything that revolved around the outdoors. He was a devoted father who jumped at every opportunity to help each of his three children he lovingly raised. Rocky was an even more devoted Papaw, who loved spending time with his grandkids. To his grandson Gunner, his Papaw was more than family; he was his closest friend and favorite hunting buddy. He owned and operated the Lonesome Pine Gun and Pawn Shop for over thirty-five years where he had many customers whom he considered great friends.
Rocky was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Hall and Stepmother, Myrtle Hall, Great Grandparents, Oscar and Cora Hall and Uncle James Hall.
Rocky is survived by his father, Victor Hall. Previous wife, Shirl Smith and son: Travis Hall (significant other, Emily) and previous wife, Stacy Webb and children: Brett Hall (fiancé, Laken) and Megan Hall (significant other, Wes); Grandchildren: Gunner, Fletcher, Eva, Violet and Piper; Sisters: Freda Frey and Donna Hall.
Extended Family: Rick Dingus, Ronnie Oaks, Mary Morgan, Little Bruce Funk, Donald Burke, Mike Plaster, R.L. Crawford, Todd Bond, Troy Williams, Roy Boatwright, Tyler Keith, Terry Blevins, Sam Shaw, Ronald and Donald Estep, Richard Massie and a multitude of friends and hunting buddies.

"The righteous shall flourish like a tree planted by streams of water, bearing fruit in every season. Rooted in love for his family and nourished by God's creation, he found joy beneath open skies, peace beside still waters, and strength in the bonds of those he cherished."
