Robert Allen Dingus, 92, peacefully went to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, February 2, 2024, at home.

Robert was many things to many people: husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, friend, teacher, Air Force Veteran, missionary, carpenter/woodworker, and volunteer. To his family, he was simply their rock.

Son of Robert and Nannie Natalie, he was preceded death by his wife of 65 years, Billie Sands Dingus; grandson, Robert Charles Bruce; granddaughter, Leslie Blevins Hamilton; son-in-law Rick Bruce; sisters Evelee (Jo) Rhodes, Nelle Harvey, Carrie McCloud and brothers Curtis Dingus, George (Wid) Dingus. He is survived by his daughters Cathy Ramey, Donna Blevins (Jerry), Roberta Bruce; granddaughters Jessica Mavis (Cory), Whitney Tucker (Clifton); great-grandchildren Ashleigh Hamilton, Eleanor Tucker, Ezra Tucker; sister Lillian Massie (Bobby); brother Tom Dingus (Muriel); many loved nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 6, 2024, 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. at the Sturgill Funeral Home 310 6th Street NW Coeburn, Funeral Service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Johnny Adkins, and Danny Ramey officiating.  Graveside Service will be conducted 11 A.M. Wednesday, February 7, 2024, in the Temple Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum with Military Honors by the Local VFW and US Air Force Honor Team.
