Ricky Wayne Gilliam, 69, passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2025.

Ricky was of the Christian faith.

He was a former employee of Alpha Natural Resources.

Ricky is preceded in death by his wife, Lisa Kilgore Gilliam; and brothers, Bud Freeman, Darrell Freeman, and Scott Gilliam.

Ricky is survived by his son, Jason Gilliam; daughter-in-law, Jaclyn Gilliam; four grandchildren, Lauren Gilliam, Abbey Arnold, Lucas Gilliam, and Jordan Gilliam; one great-grandchild, Evelyn Morelock; his brothers, Mike Hummill, John Hummill, Chuck Hummill, and Marty Gilliam.

Funeral services for Ricky Gilliam will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Friday, May 30, 2025 at the Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel in Wise, VA with Preacher Bruce Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the Hubbard Family Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 12:00 P.M. till time of services at 1:00 P.M. at the Sturgill Funeral Home in Wise, VA.
