NICKELSVILLE, VA.                                        OCTOBER 7, 2026

Reba Strouth, 96, of Nickelsville Va, went home to be with Jesus on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, surrounded by her family.

Reba was one of the sweetest, most caring, and loving woman you could have ever known. Her greatest joy in life was her family. She loved taking care of her family, making sure everyone was fed and cared for, while showing her Love in all the little ways that meant so much. Her kitchen was often filled with the wonderful smells of her cooking, but even more than the food, it was the love she put into everything she did that made her home so special. She also loved the lord and loved singing in church. She filled the lives of those around her with love, kindness, wisdom, and countless precious memories.

She was not only a wonderful mother and grandmother, but a source of comfort, strength and unconditional love.

Reba was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, James "Lucky" Strouth; a granddaughter, Cassie Gilley; and grandson, Brandon "Bubby" Cheruk.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving children Judy (Glendale)

Gilley, Sue (Jack) Boggs, Janie (George) Cheruk, Janice (Edgle) Rose, and Michael (Kelly) Strouth; 20 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, and 19 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Reba Strouth will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Friday, October 9, 2026 at the Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel in Wise, VA with George Cheruk, Dallas Slemp and Edgle Rose officiating. Burial will follow in the Strouth Family Cemetery in Pound, VA. Family will receive friends from 12:30 P.M. till time of services at 2:00 P.M. Friday, October 9, 2026.
