Raymond Price Swecker, 87 of Norton, VA" formerly of Lynchburg, VA, passed away peacefully at Holston Valley Medical Center following a medical procedure. He was the husband of the late Georgetta Tabitha Wamsley Swecker for 62 years.

Raymond was born in Elkins, WVA to the late Arlen Frank Swecker and the late Mary Magdalene Swecker. He is a 1957 graduate of Tygart Valley High School in Mill Creek, WVA, after which he served honorably in the United States Army from 1959-1962. He is a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Coeburn, VA. Raymond worked for Mead Corporation (later known as RockTenn) in Lynchburg for 37 years. From the days of his youth, Raymond enjoyed the outdoors both hunting and fishing and never failed to regale you on his adventures and life on the farm. Special thanks are given to Pam Perry as Raymond's caregiver for the past couple years.

Raymond is survived by; one son Mark Swecker (Sarah) of Saint Paul, VA; one daughter Amie Bradley (Steve) of Bryan, TX; four grandsons Tyler Swecker, Evan Swecker, Benjamin Bradley, Colin Bradley (Emily); and one great grandson Keagan Bradley and one great granddaughter Lilyanne Bradley.

Preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph Marston Swecker and Ronal Frank Swecker.

The family will receive friends Friday, November 14, 2025, 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. at the Sturgill Funeral Home 310 6th Street Coeburn, VA. Funeral Service will follow in the chapel with Pastor Brandon White officiating. Graveside Service will be conducted at 11 A.M. Saturday, November 15, 2025, in the Greenwood Acres Cemetery Coeburn, VA. The family and friends will meet at the funeral home at 10:30 A.M. to go in procession to the cemetery.
