Randy Ray Sturgill, 65, passed away on Friday, December 19, 2025 at home with his loved ones beside him.

Randy enjoyed racing on the weekends, going to flea markets, watching Andy Griffith and a lot of westerns. He loved taking walks with his dogs, Snowball, Angel and Gizmo. He liked to fish and hunt. He loved seeing Everly, she was always his buddy.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Danyell Sturgill; his mother, Betty Sturgill; and brother, Daniel Sturgill.

Surviving are his wife, Linda Sturgill; his daughters, Neakema Diets and husband James, Florence Sturgill, Renee Sturgill and Amanda Sturgill; son, Kevin Sturgill; his father, Jimmy Sturgill; sisters, Becky Thacker, Katherine Dollarhyde, Mary Barnette, Wendy Shortt, and Linda Thacker; brother, Jimmy Sturgill; his amazing grandkids, Haley Kennedy and husband Camden, Logan Diets, Matthew Diets and Savannah, Landon Diets, Hannah Diets and Aden Diets; three great-grandkids, Everly Kennedy, Levi Diets and Nash Broskey, those babies were his world, they made him smile and gave him joy; and a host of other relatives and friends.

God knew he needed you dad/papaw, but we will be okay. He will be missed but never forgotten. We love you so so much Dad/Papaw.
