Randy Harding, 74, peacefully found his way home to mom Tuesday, January 21,2025. He ended his journey at Norton Community Hospital in Norton, VA.

Anyone who knew him, knew of his love for the Green Bay Packers and Bigfoot. He always loved hiking the woods with Shena, fishing the pond with his grandkids, and sitting by the firepit with family and friends. Dad and mom always enjoyed visiting new places and now they are together again on their biggest adventure.

He is a proud retiree of General Motors in Defiance, Ohio. After retirement he enjoyed staying busy repairing lawnmowers, weed eaters and other small engines.

Through this he met many people, some who became lifelong friends like Mark Kelly. He also had a special relationship with Earl Laney whom he considered a son more than a son-in-law.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Effie Sue Harding, his parents and several siblings.

Surviving are his two daughters, Shannon Price (Tommy) of Clearwater, FL and Adena Laney (Earl) of Wise, VA; two special grandchildren, Emily Kaitlyn Laney and fiancé Joseph Ghammashi and Ashton James-Lee Laney (Mallory); two brothers, Steve Harding (Christina) Bryan, OH, Gary Harding (Michelle); one sister, Theresa Tackett of Wise, VA; Sister-in-Law, Virginia Fleming of Sherwood, Ohio; Brother-in-Law, Harold Baldwin of Roanoke, VA; several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Randy's life will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, January 24, 2025 at the Sturgill Funeral Home in Wise, VA. Burial will follow in the Harding Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 P.M. till time of services at 2:00 P.M.
