Rachel Deniece Kiser, 38, of Coeburn, VA gained her angel wings on Sunday, June 14, 2026, after battling cancer. Born February 6, 1988, Rachel spent her too short life traveling, inspiring all she met with her resilience and spreading love everywhere she went. She was welcomed to Heaven by her father, Joseph Kiser, maternal grandfather Curtis Evans, paternal grandfather Billy Joe Kiser, and too many other loved ones to count. Surviving are her mother, Kimberly Kiser of Coeburn, VA, brother Brandon Kiser and partner Billy Lovell of Asheville, NC, maternal grandmother Sharon Evans of the home, and paternal grandmother Ruth Alfred of Dungannon, VA; uncle Greg Kiser of Wesley Chapel, FL, uncle Curtis Evans and wife Donna of Coeburn, VA, aunt Gretchen Branch of Winston-Salem, NC, as well as many more aunts, uncles, cousins, and special friends far and wide.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Sos Nalghranyan and the rest of her treatment team at Ballad Health Cancer Center in Norton, VA, as well as her primary care physician, Chris Bartee. Visitors will be received on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at 5pm at Sturgill Funeral Home 310 6th Street NW Coeburn, VA. Services will follow at 6 pm with Pastor Rance Edwards.
