Phillip Lane, 87, of Coeburn, VA, passed away on October 15, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family and friends.

Phillip is survived by his wife Linda, his daughters Fredia (Glynn) Helbert, Chyrl (Greg) Ringley, Becky (David) Sanders and Michelle (Jerry) Hurd.  Siblings Connie Wright, Mack Hubbard, Jerry Dotson, Bonna Kelley, Billy (Pete) Horton and Roger Bevins and many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Special friends, Buck Strouth, Philman Strouth, Flo Hylton and Lee Fields and two very special adoptive daughters, Carolyn Smith, and Francis Stanley

Phillip was a member and Deacon of the Indian Creek Freewill Baptist Church in Pound, VA and was loving father, husband, grandfather, brother, and friend to all.

He was preceded in death by his late wives June Lane and Lois Lane, his daughter Denise Riner, sister, Yvonne Salyer and brothers Larry Dotson and Bobby Dotson.

A very special thank you to Home Nursing Company - Hospice Care of Clintwood, VA and to the Johnson City ICU and Trama center for their loving care.

Services will be held at Sturgill Funeral Home in Coeburn, VA on Friday, October 20. 2023.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with funeral services beginning at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Joel Cantrell and Pastor Buck Strouth officiating. Graveside services will be held at Greenwood Acres Cemetery in Coeburn, VA following the funeral services.   Phillip's grandsons will serve as his pallbearers.
