Peggy Jane Bolling Jones, 91, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 8, 2022.

Peggy was born to Rufus and Victoria Bolling at Flat Gap, Virginia. Peggy was a great seamstress and has sewn for many people in Wise, County. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends.  When you ate at Mamaw's house, you did not go home hungry.  Any of us would come to Virginia to visit and it would be late at night, but she always had something on the stove and in the refrigerator for us to eat (especially soup beans and corn bread). She was a long-time member of the Hurricane Baptist Church.

Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Orville Paul Jones; daughter, Tammy Collins; son, Paul (Nicky) Jones II; parents, Rufus and Victoria Bolling; grandson, Paul Jones, III; brothers, Keys, Jack, Tom, Vernoy and Gordie Bolling and a sister, Betty Bolling Salyer.

Surviving are a daughter, Janet Wyatt and husband Jim of Homer, GA; her only granddaughter, Pam Lawhorne and husband Chuck of Tallapoosa, GA; grandson, Ronnie Mullins and wife Michelle Mullins of Homer, GA, Ryan Mullins and wife Michelle of Hooks Town, PA and Matthew Jones of North Carolina; ten plus great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Evelyn Walk of Norton, VA, Annette Stidham of Norton, VA and Dolly Dean of Radford, VA; nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Heritage Hall Nursing Home Big Stone Gap, VA for their loving care of Peggy Jones. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Wise County Food Bank, P.O. Box 2977 Wise, VA 24293 in the name of Peggy Jones.

Services for Peggy Jones will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at Powell Valley Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Big Stone Gap, VA with Pastor Jerry Mullins officiating, burial will follow. Family and friends are asked to meet at the Mausoleum for services.
