Peggy Sue Brock, 83, passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2026 at Norton Community Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin Gardner and Vonda Gibson, as well as her siblings, Glenda, Joe, Kyle, Wilma, Roger, and Jeanette.

Peggy is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Bethel Brock, and her children, Tim (Penny) Brock, Randy Brock, Dina (Rick) Padgett, Perry (Janet) Brock, Mona (Bobby) Colvard, Sheila (Frank) Barber, and Rachel (Junior England) Brock. She also leaves behind 19 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren that she loves dearly.

Peggy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her love will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends. Though she is deeply missed, her legacy will continue through the family she loved so dearly

Peggy was a woman of strong faith who loved God deeply and made sure to pass that faith down to her children and grandchildren. She taught her family the importance of trusting in God, believing in His plan, and keeping faith through every season of life. She also loved spending her time reading and working on puzzle books, always keeping her mind busy and enjoying the simple things in life. Peggy had a spunky personality and a way of bringing her own special spark into every room she entered. Her quick wit, strong spirit, and one-of-a-kind personality made her someone who could never be forgotten.

Funeral services for Peggy Brock will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. Sunday, September 27, 2026 at the Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel in Wise, VA with Pastor Cliff Bowman officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. till time of services at 7:00 P.M. Sunday, September 27, 2026 at the Sturgill Funeral Home in Wise, VA. Graveside committal services and burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, September 28, 2026 in the Carter Cemetery in Wise, VA. Family and friends will meet at 10:30 A.M. Monday at the funeral home to go to the cemetery in procession.
