Pauline Elizabeth Couch, age 98, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 2, 2022, at Rehab Center and Memory Care at Bristol. She was born in Nickelsville, Virginia. Pauline was a devoted Christian and had a deep love of God. She was a member of Mary's Chapel Freewill Baptist Church.  She also loved her family and taking care of her vegetable and flower gardens. Pauline was preceded in death by her husband, Bueford Couch; parents, Fielding, and Arlena Hall Isaacs; sister, June Holbrook; brothers, Paul, Lowell, Joe Isaacs, and Raymond Hall; sons-in-laws, Kyle Hall, and Gordon Kirk; grandson, Timothy Kirk. Survivors include her daughters, Linda Hall of Coeburn, Janie Kirk of Christiansburg and Kay Miller of Coeburn; grandchildren, Mary Denby (Chris) of Alexandria, Martha Sartin (Jason) of Coeburn, Michelle Still (Scott) of Savannah, and Andrea Kirk of Christiansburg; great grandchildren, Wish and Alora Denby, Alyssa Elam (Tyler), Logan and Parker Sartin, Breccan Still, and Faith Wilkins; great great grandchildren, Raelynn and Wyatt Elam; brothers, John Isaacs of Palo Alto, California, Fielding "Buddy" Isaacs of Nickelsville; sisters, Dorothy Moore of Nicklesville and Mary Taylor of St. Paul; special nephew and niece, Lowell and Martha Holbrook of Kingsport.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 6, 2022, 12 P.M. to 1 P.M. at the Sturgill Funeral Home 310 6 ^th Street NW Coeburn, VA. Funeral Service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Marty Puckett officiating.
