Paula Sue Hutchinson, 58, passed away on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at the Holston Valley Medical Center with her loving husband of 36 years by her side.

Paula lived her life being a devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed cooking for and spending time with those she loved. Paula was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who will be greatly missed by all of her loved ones.

Paula was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Dorothy Salyers; brother, Mike Toney; sister, Shirley Estel; mother-in-law, Dianna Boggs; sister-in-law, Hazel Hutchinson; and 3 unborn grandchildren.

Paula is survived by her husband, Hewie Hutchinson; son, Christopher Hutchinson and Shayla; grandsons, Reid and Carson Hutchinson; sisters, Nancy Collins, Linda Fleming and David, Shirley Jenkins and Ken, Thelma Toney, and Renee Salyers; sisters-in-law, Kay Salyer & Kyle and Raydean Hutchinson; a host of nieces and nephews, including special nephews, Andrew Hess and Sean Dixon; and her very best friend, Erin Collins.

Memorial services for Paula Hutchinson will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, August 30, 2025 at the Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel in Wise, VA with Danny Smith and Kyle Salyer officiating. Family will receive friends from 12:30 P.M. till time of services at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, August 30, 2025 at the Sturgill Funeral Home in Wise, VA. In lieu of flowers, family requests memorial contributions be made to PAWS of Southwest Virginia - P.O. Box 576, Coeburn, Virginia 24230.
