Pamela Carty Zemotel, 66, peacefully went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at the Pikeville Nursing & Rehab in Pikeville, Kentucky.

Despite hardships in her life, she remained faithful to her Lord.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Zemotel; and her parents, Bill and Tess Carty.

Leaving behind to share her legacy of love and compassion for others are her daughter, Kristina Lane Valerius (Andy) of Louisville, KY; son, Nathaniel Lane of Pound, VA; one grandson, Jack Valerius of Louisville, KY; one sister, Lisa Carty McElrath (Jimmy) of Coeburn, VA; one brother, Bill "Rudy" Carty, Jr.; two sisters-in-law, Jeannie Woldorf (Rick) of Whitesburg, KY and Rebecca Phelps (Greg) of Falls Church, VA; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Special thanks to Pikeville Nursing & Rehab staff and residents for outstanding care and love during her time spent there.

Funeral services for Pamela Zemotel will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, October 19, 2025 at the Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel in Wise, VA with Pastor Mark Stallard officiating. Family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. till time of services at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, October 19, 2025 at the Sturgill Funeral Home in Wise, VA.
