Norman J.C. Turner, 84 went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 21, 2021. He was a devoted Christian and loved the Lord with all his heart. He was a devoted husband and loving father and papaw. He had retired from Payless Supermarket after many years of service.

He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Turner, and mother, Lola Booher Turner; three daughters, Lori Ann, Loretta, and Norma Kay; two sons, Raymond, and Kenneth Michael; two brothers, Ira Turner and Carter Turner; two sisters, Bernice, and Ruth Tome.

He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Edwards Turner; three daughters, Phyllis (William) Hamm of North Carolina; Lisa Meade of Coeburn, VA., and Christina Turner of Dungannon, VA., one grandson, Shane Hamm; two granddaughters, Fallon (Brandon) Dickenson, and Taylor Hamm; his siters, Emma Sutherland of Maryland; Audrey Carter of Coeburn, VA., Earlene Cloud of Locust Grove, VA., Glenda Hill of Trinity, N.C.; Lillie (Paul) Biecheler of Sandusky, Ohio; Sandra Hartsock of Nickelsville, VA., Peggy (Billy) Rivers of Bristol, VA., and Pamela Spainhour of King, N.C., brothers, Arthur (Barbara) Turner of Coeburn, VA., and Jackie (Terri) Turner of Archdale, N.C., several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Thursday, June 24, 2021, 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. at the Sturgill Funeral Home 310 6 ^th Street NW Coeburn, VA. Funeral Service will be conducted 11 A.M. Friday, June 25, 2021, in the funeral home chapel with Brother Howard Edwards, Brother Roger Edwards, and Pastor Kevin Campbell officiating.
