Nora Osborne, 77, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 4, 2022. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Osborne which she is now in heaven with him preparing to celebrate their 60 ^th wedding anniversary on November 12 ^th .

Nora was the backbone of her family and the glue that held everything together. There was nothing more important to her than her children, grandchildren, church family, loving and serving her Lord. She was a foster parent with her husband for 20 years where they put their heart and soul into caring for those that needed love and a safe place to call home. She always made sure that her foster children were loved and treated with respect. She gave to them as if they were her own children and loved them unconditionally. She spent the last 40 years serving, caring for and supporting The House of Prayer Church in Duncan Gap that her loving husband established in 1980. The last year of her life was spent at Hubbard's Chapel Church with her children and lifelong friends and members who went above and beyond caring for and supporting her and her family in their time of need.

She is also preceded in death by her parents, Laymon and Elva Kilgore; 4 brothers, Coy, Gary, Billy and Sammy Kilgore.

Surviving are her son, Michael Osborne and wife Rebecca; her daughters, Donna Whitaker and husband Mark, Sherry Osborne and Kimberly Womble and husband Charles; a special daughter, Abbie Shell; grandchildren, Josh Marshall and wife Whitney, Austin Boggs and wife Suzanne, Reagan Walsh and husband Anthony, Brandon Osborne and wife Morgan, Allison Billings and husband James, Kristen Phillips and husband Dustin, Andrew Womble and fiancé Zoya Penwell and Jessica Hibbitts; 9 great-grandchildren, Carter, Hunter, Lilly Madalynn, Addi, Autumn, Peyton, Harrison and Nathanael; 3 sisters, Betty Adkins, Kathy Mullins and husband Junior and Wanda Nicolson; sister-in-law, Britta Kilgore and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Nora Osborne will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at the Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel, Wise, VA with Rev. Allen Graham and Rev. Billy Hibbitts officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:30 P.M. till time of services at 7:00 P.M. at the Sturgill Funeral Home, Wise, VA.  Graveside committal services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 9, 2022 in the Wise Cemetery, Wise, VA. Family and friends will meet at 10:30 A.M. to go to the cemetery in procession.

Pallbearers will be Josh, Austin, Andrew, Brandon, James, Dustin and Anthony.
