Obituary

Wise, Va./Chattanooga, TN.                                 October 11, 2022

Nathaniel Matthew Robinette, 40, went to his heavenly home on Friday, October 7, 2022. He is survived by his parents, Monroe and Linda Robinette and a loving sister, Laura Elizabeth Robinette, aunts, uncles, and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his beloved maternal grandparents Frank and Vina Sands and his fraternal grandparents, Larsen, and Lena Robinette.

Nathaniel was a graduate of Coeburn High School and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Virginia's College at Wise. While attending, he was a member of Omnicrom Delta Kappa Society and the Alpha Xi Chapter of Sigma Zeta Society, which was the national science and mathematics honor society. Nathaniel served as a teaching assistant in the science department as well as tutoring students in science and math. He received the Chancellor's Medal for undergraduate research. To be eligible for the Chancellor's Medal, a student must have been nominated by a faculty member in response to an exceptional project, and members of the Undergraduate Research Council must have judged the student's work to be particularly meritorious and deserving of public recognition. Nathaniel later attended Lincoln Memorial University but became seriously ill and had to take medical leave from the DO program.

Nathaniel achieved his pilot's license at age sixteen. He flew and visited extensively in the lower United States and traveled to Alaska. He loved traveling the world and had been to Greece, Cyprus, Italy, France, England, sailed the Mediterranean Sea, and visited the countries bordering that sea. He also visited South America and the Galapagos Islands and most recently, Bali.

Nathaniel was a person that loved life, his friends, and family. He kept his family laughing when visiting. He always had hilarious adventures to share. He had a joy that could not be contained and a very quick wit. He began working in real estate in Tennessee in 2008 and continued until his death.

Nathaniel will be greatly missed by family, friends, and acquaintances. He recently rededicated his life to the Lord Jesus Christ and attended Eastwood Church near Chattanooga, Tennessee.
