Nancy Carol Roberts, 83, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, June 13, 2026. She was an amazing woman that lived her life for the Lord, loving others in ways that made every life she touched feel as if they truly mattered, they were truly seen, and they were truly loved. If you were blessed to know her, you know that she loved fiercely with kindness and compassion rivaled only by the Lord Himself.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Conner Kennedy and Beulah McReynolds Kennedy; and brother-in-law, Bernard Palmer.
A devoted mother, sister, and friend, she is survived by son, Matthew Roberts and daughter-in-law Karla Roberts; son Chad Roberts and daughter-in-law Danielle Roberts; daughter Marci Roberts Grills and son-in-law Anthony Grills; sister, Brenda Palmer; brother Steve Kennedy and wife Cherie Kennedy; sister Hope Stapleton and husband Jerry Stapleton. She also leaves behind several beloved grandchildren: granddaughters Lilli Grills, Amelia Grills, Emma Roberts Willie and grandson-in-law Daniel Wille; grandson Justin Mullins and granddaughter-in-law Becky Mullins; two great grandchildren Ava Mullins and Ryan Mullins. She also leaves behind several beloved nieces and nephews, and a host of friends and extended family members.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 16, 2026, 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. at the Sturgill Funeral Home 310 6th Street NW Coeburn, Va. Funeral Services will follow in the chapel with Anthony Grills speaking. Graveside Services will be conducted 11 A.M. Wednesday, June 17, 2026, Crab Orchard United Methodist Church Cemetery Coeburn, Virginia. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery at 10:45 A.M.
