Nancy Collins, 77, passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at Norton Community Hospital, Norton, VA.

She was of the Christian faith and a former employee of the Wise County School System.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Elbert (Possum Bill) Collins; son, Samuel (Sam) H. Collins; daughter, Nancy L. Collins; parents, Troy and Roxie Sexton Gibson and sisters, Pearl Collins and Lucille Brummitt.

Surviving are a son, Troy Collins and wife Lisa; daughter, Lorida McGuire and husband Anthony Combs; grandsons, Samuel Collins, Jr. and Troy Collins, Jr.; family friend, Mike Gould; sister, Winnie Lucas; brothers, Carl Ed Gibson and Walter Hubert Gibson and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Nancy Collins will conducted at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel, Wise, VA with Pastor GT Greene officiating. Burial will follow in the Mullins Family Cemetery in Duncan Gap, VA. The family will receive friends from 12:30 P.M. till time of services at 2:00 P.M. at the Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel, Wise, VA.
