Maxine Hollyfield, 92, formerly of Pound, VA, passed away at her home on Sunday, September 27, 2026.

She was of the Old Regular Baptist faith.

Maxine was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Delmas Earl Hollyfield; her parents, McKinley and Jane Anderson Belcher; brothers, Ruben Anderson, Harrison Belcher, Buford Belcher and James Belcher; sisters, Julie Vanover, Alice Potter and Ruby Anderson

Survivors include her daughter, Charlene Edwards and her husband Kerry, Piney Flats, TN; son, Jerry Earl Hollyfield and his wife Cynthia, Knoxville, TN; sister, Dorothy Belcher Yates, Pound, VA; granddaughter, Keri Beth Hallberg and her husband, Brad, Fort Mill, SC; grandson, Jerod Ra`Del Hollyfield, Hickman, TN; great-grandson, Andrew Cole Hallberg, Charleston, SC; great-granddaughters Piper Grace Hallberg and Emma Rachel Hallberg, Fort Mill, SC.

Graveside committal services and burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, October 9, 2026 at the Powell Valley Memorial Gardens, 5640 Powell Valley Road, Big Stone Gap, VA 24219 with Elder Willie Cantrell officiating.

In lieu of flowers, Maxine asked that contributions be made to the Fairview Old Regular Baptist Church, 10206 Killen Hollow Road, Pound, VA 24279.
