Mary Elizabeth "Tince" Barnette, 89, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 5, 2021.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gale Barnette; parents, Ora "Chib" Chandler and Martha Miller Chandler; and several brothers and sisters.

Surviving are three daughters, Ann Mullins of Wise, Trish Thompson and husband Bo of Wise and Linda Ballard and husband Tommy of NC; six grandchildren, Lisa Wyckoff and husband Peter, Eddie Baker and wife Wendy, Chase Ballard, Rhiannon Ballard, Gracie Thompson, Gabe Thompson, and Nate Thompson and fiancé Presley Taylor; three great-grandchildren, PJ Wyckoff, Brooklin Baker and Dauntay Woods; one sister, Sue Bray of Campbellsville, KY; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Mary Elizabeth Barnette will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, May 8, 2021 at the Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Clifford Mullins officiating. Burial will follow in the Jessee Cemetery in Wise, VA. Family will receive friends from 1:30 P.M. till time of services at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, May 8, 2021 at the Sturgill Funeral Home in Wise, VA.
