Mary Lou Ritchie, 88, passed away Sunday, June 22, 2025, in Norton Community Hospital Norton, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lindsey R. & Ida Maples Foster; several siblings; her husband, William Hershel Ritchie; and a daughter, Gale Bailey. She was a former employee of the Payless Supermarket in the Deli; and loved to bake character cakes.

Surviving are two sons, Michael Lee Ritchie of Dallas, Georgia, and John (Janet) Ritchie of Abingdon, Virginia; a sister, Lois Donnelly of Elizabethton, Tennessee; 8 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 25, 2025, 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. at the Sturgill Funeral Home 310 6th Street NW Coeburn, Va. Funeral Service will follow in the chapel with Pastor Shorty Yates officiating. Graveside Service will be conducted at 11 A.M.
