Mary Jane Deel, 80, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2026, at the Bristol Regional Medical Center Bristol, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Esta Damron Bentley; her husband, James Vernon Deel; three brothers, James Bentley, Luther Bentley and Ned Bentley.

She was a member of the Flatwoods Freewill Baptist Church, member of the ladies Auxiliary, a Sunday School Teacher and was an Avon Sales Representative.

Surviving is her son, Steve Deel of Coeburn, Virginia; two daughters, Sherry Deel of Coeburn, Virginia and Susan Bolling of Wise, Virginia;  five grandchildren, Samantha (Zach) Rogers, Patrick (Eliza) Deel, Michael (Alexis) Bolling, Kayla (Tyler) Tibbs, and Katlyn Deel; five great grandchildren, Axel Bolling, Bentley Rogers, Jensen Tibbs, Violet Deel and Berkley Bolling; two brothers, Harry Bentley and David Bentley; five sisters, Linda Sue Bentley of Big Stone Gap, Virginia, Sharlene Hamby of Union, Kentucky, Sandra Bolling of Wise, Virginia, Virginia Bond of Coeburn, Virginia and Sharon Belcher of Pikeville, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Thursday, March 12, 2026, 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. at the Sturgill Funeral Home 310 6th Street NW Coeburn, Virginia. Funeral Services will follow in the chapel with Pastor Rodney Deel officiating. Graveside Services will be conducted at 11 A.M. Friday, March 13, 2026, at the Deel Cemetery Wise, Virginia.
