Mary Evelyn Browning, 96, passed away Saturday, July 11, 2026, at her home. She was born in Clintwood, Virginia to Lawrence and Myrtle Johnson. She loved the outdoors, especially fishing, hunting, and growing a beautiful garden. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Browning and a son, Leon Browning.

She is surviving by her daughters, Juanita (Tom) Foxwell of Salisbury, MD, Louise (Jerry) Fraley of Roanoke, Virginia, and her son, Larry (Lennie) Browning of Coeburn, Virginia; 10 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 14, 2026, 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. at the Sturgill Funeral Home 310 6th Street NW Coeburn, Virginia. Burial will be Private.
