Martha Ellen Adkins, 56, passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2026 at her home on Tacoma Mountain in Wise, Virginia. Beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.

She was proceeded in death by her paternal grandparents, Bennett and Thelma Adkins; her maternal grandparents, Laymon and Elvie Kilgore; her father, Benny Ray Adkins; her sister, Terea Adkins Belcher; and her brother, Anthony Ray Adkins.

Left to cherish her memory are her mother, Betty Adkins; her life partner, Tara Donnells; her brothers, David Adkins and Ricky Adkins; her sister, Debbie Adkins; brother-in-law, Doug Kiser; her aunts, Betty Joan Beverly, Wanda Kilgore, Kathy Mullins, and Mary Anne Goins; her uncle, Junior Mullins; her beloved nieces and nephews, Cricket Gilliam (husband Shannon, daughter Vivian), Nathan Garbarino, Timothy Reeves, Ronald Reeves, Angel Adkins (Jazzmine and Lilly), Charles Belcher (sons, Grant, Ethan and Samuel), Jordan Adkins (wife Sky, sons, Dominic and Julian), and Samantha Mullins (husband, Adam and daughter, Amelia); along with other extended family and loved ones.

Martha had a deep love for animals, and they held a special place in her heart.

Martha’s memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends who loved her and shared in her life.

A private burial will be held.
