It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our mother Marlene Collins Mullins, 85, on April 4, 2025, in Norton Virginia with family by her side. She is now at the rest in the arms of our heavenly father.

She was born on Buck Knob in Wise County Virginia. She is the daughter of Darrell Kedrick Collins and Martha Pearl Manis Collins.

She is the widow of Gregory Noel Mullins of Pound, Virginia whom she married in 2006. Gregory preceded in death on June 23, 2015. In addition to Gregory, she is preceded in death by her parents, brothers James Edward Collins and Larry Wayne Collins, former husbands Donald Lee Osborne and David Troy Anderson, infant daughter Angela Marie Osborne, granddaughter Misty Dawn Powell, and a great grandson Carter Lochlan Cousins.

Marlene shared a special bond with her siblings, especially her sisters, one of whom she lived with the past 10 years. They were always together doing something for each other or other family members. The three enjoyed most sitting around the table talking and reminiscing of days gone by, the flea market, thrifting and traveling together to see family.

Marlene had many jobs throughout her life including working at a coal mines, being a meat cutter at a grocery store, housekeeping and caring for the elderly.

She was a member of the Stevens Church of God in Wise. Her hobbies included quilting, doll and jewelry collecting and various other crafts.

She is survived by her 5 children David Lee Osborne of Pound Virginia, Margaret Diane Mann (Sammy) of Coeburn Virginia, Lisa Ann Osborne of Leonardtown Maryland, Pamela Marlene Anderson Spalding (Leroy) of Mechanicsville and Billy Randall Ramey of Leonardtown Maryland; In addition to her children she is survived by 15 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Roy Lee Collins Sr, Coy William Collins and Jerry Allen Collins; sisters, Lillian Irene Mullins and Judy Gayle Maggard; She is also survived by many nieces and nephews many of whom were very special to her and other family members including former husband Billy Randall Ramey Sr. and friend Leisa Horne.

Funeral services for Marlene Collins Mullins will be conducted at 2:00  P.M. Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel in Wise, Virginia with Pastor Owen Powers, Jr.  and Pastor Sidney Turner officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 P.M. till time of services at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Sturgill Funeral Home in Wise, VA Burial and graveside committal services will follow at the Collins Cemetery on Buck Knob in Wise, VA.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jayden Carter, Andrew Spalding, Bradley Osborne, Chris Adams, Jordan Osborne, and Danny Maggard.

Honorary Pallbearers Marsha Richardson and Brittany McFalls.
