Mark Ivory Sturgill, 67, passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2024 at his home.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and was a retired welder from A&G Coal Co.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Sturgill and Russell and Gaynell Schram; mother-in-law, Faye Davis and nephew, Michael Mays.

Surviving are his loving wife of 26 years, Nancy Sturgill; daughters, Candice Sturgill and Chalise Sturgill; sons, Andrew Sturgill and David Shane Still and wife Mary Beth; 10 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sisters, Laura McAfee of Big Stone Gap, VA and Cynthia Mays and husband Gerald of Knoxville, TN; brothers, Randy Sturgill and Angie of Woodbury, TN and Todd Sturgill and wife Debbie of McMinnville, TN and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Mark Ivory Sturgill will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, January, 27, 2024 at the Sturgill Funeral Home in Wise, VA with Bishop Barry Ison officiating. Burial will be in the Collins-Gilliam Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:30 A.M. till time of services at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday at Sturgill Funeral Home Wise, VA.
