NORTON, VA.                                  NOVEMBER 28, 2021

Marilynn B. Browning, 93, passed away peacefully at her home in Norton, VA on Friday, November 26, 2021.

Marilynn was a devout Christian, faithfully serving the churches in her community where she lived. She loved music and playing her piano. She began her career with the phone company as a switchboard operator and then retiring after 30 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Neil and Maude Addington Barton; brothers, Paris Barton and Jack Barton; and a sister, Ida Renfro.

Surviving are her four sons, Jim Browning and wife Maryann of Savannah, GA, Jack Browning of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Danny Browning and wife Regina of Bristol, TN and David Browning and wife Carolyn of Huntsville, Ala; five grandchildren, Kevin Browning, Paul Browning, Areesa Patrick, Meghan Phelps and Breanna Browning; two great-grandchildren, Raylen Patrick and Payten Patrick; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside services for Marilynn Browning will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at the Wise Cemetery with Rev. Jeff Sams officiating. Burial will follow.
