Marietta Stallard Cantrell, 70, of Wise Virginia went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 21, 2021, at Lynchburg General Hospital in Lynchburg, Virginia. She was a loving mother and grandmother and of the Christian faith.

Marietta enjoyed playing bingo and socializing with her friends at Bentley Commons Senior Living Community in Lynchburg.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Cantrell; daughter, Carla Renee Cantrell; brother, Paul Stallard; parents, Harold Aaron and Anna Lea Stallard.

She is survived by her son, Joey Cantrell and wife Cassandra; grandchildren, Mason and Aubrey Cantrell; brothers, Danny Stallard and Letteau Stallard; sister, Juanita Carrabba and a host of other relatives and friends that will miss her dearly.

Funeral services for Marietta will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. Monday, October 25, 2021, at Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel Wise, VA with Rev. Mitchell Elliott officiating. Burial will follow in the Phipps Cemetery in Clintwood, VA. Family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. till time of services at 12:00 P.M. Monday at Sturgill Funeral Home in Wise, VA.
