Marie Thacker Adams, 84, passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at the Norton Community Hospital in Norton, VA.

She loved being outside working in her garden, planting flowers, singing in church and she loved Jesus and depended on him.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Glenn Adams; daughter, Greta Hamilton; son, Jerry Adams; parents, Luther and Fannie Wells Thacker and several siblings.

Surviving are her brothers, David and Ernie and wife Brenda; sister, Ruth Hale; grandsons, Thomas Hamilton and Jeremiah Adams; granddaughter, Kristen Butler; son-in-law, Ronnie Hamilton; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Marie Adams will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, July 6, 2024 at the Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel in Wise, VA with Pastor Owen Powers Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Wells Cemetery Esserville, VA. The family will receive friends from 12 noon till time of services at 1:00 P.M. Saturday at the Sturgill Funeral Home in Wise, VA.
